Vietcong article - love the last line

Poker Verdict is expecting a big year for
vietcong01in 2008 and we wouldn’t be at all surprised if he is next year’s answer to Annette_15 or Imper1um.

vietcong01 plays extremely aggressively and some would say recklessly. He is never afraid to put his tournament life on the line and attracted several negative comments on internet forums about the quality of his game when he shoved with K-10 in the Super Tuesday. He got called by a player with A-K but went on to win the enormous pot when a 10 spiked on the turn.

It is moves like this that have helped vietcong01 take down the biggest available online tournaments this year

Since when is sucking out a move?  And if it is I need to improve on this part of my game.

cool site

Despite all his successes VanDuyn has yet to win any of the major online tournaments, his biggest online wins have all been seconds or thirds, a point that probably explains why he has not broken into the super elite group of online players such as Imper1um, Annette_15 or jcamby33. Regardless of this point it is obvious that VanDuyn is a player to watch for the future. After all, it could be that the monster 1st place is just around the corner.

lol i think you along with all the haters are so stupid. I do not know vietcong or much about him but his results are sick. His style of play is diff and obv it has worked for him and he has been killing mtts. I find it interesting how a lot of the top pros even have the guts to say that he sucks when he has more profit than them playing the same tourneys they are playing.

Did anyone say anything when annete 4 bet bill ivey with 76 off suit vs iveys AK and spiking the 6 and raking in a 420k pot last week in the $162? I did not see anyone complain or say anything but if vietcong woulda done it he woulda been flammed. you guys are a joke, leave him alone for once and respect his results.

Improved, if you don't see the difference between 4betting 76o with FE and what Vietcong does then you really are in no place to comment. There is a HUGE difference between overaggressive/reckless play and terrible flawed basic poker concept play. Vietcong is not bad because he is reckless he is bad because hes bad.

Today he had 70k in the 100r at 3k/6k and opened to 1800. Menlo 3bet him to 4200 (obviously with the intention of getting the 70k stack in) only for Vietcong to just call the extra 2400 then check-fold the flop leaving him like 25k left at 3k/6k. That is terrible play. 4betting 76o is extremely aggressive although a necessary and profitable play in some situations (don't know if the one you referred to was).

However if you can't identify the difference then you seriously shouldnt comment.
