my daughter is 1 1/2 and my gf is wanting to get her ears pierced ive been against it for a while but when you think about it whats it really going to hurt

I hear what you are saying.  Mine won't get them til she is older.  I never really put an age on it though.  That's my wifes job.  I hate when I see them on babies and want to punch the mom. 

She'll be wanting her navel pierced when she's 12, so be happy it's only the ears now.

I just think the whole thing is exploitive to women.

 my parents made me wait til i was 11..originally it was 13 but they suprised me for my 11th bday....i don't think it's a big deal if kids get their ears pierced when they are young, but old enough to decide on their own they want it..i have a problem with kids wearing big hoop earrings tho i think thats inappropriate..

So I just got back from doing the inevitable and guess what.

She chickened out!!!! Little shit.
